Driven by the stunning visuals of the Norwegian landscape and a powerful original score, VIOLENT centers on a young woman, Dagny, and her last memories of the five people who loved her most, vividly recalled during a catastrophic event. The film opens with this event, which ultimately causes her death. The story then weaves gracefully through separate character-based chapters, providing glimpses into the lifelong friendship with a young sister, the increasingly ominous interactions with a seemingly benevolent family friend, and the moving wisdom of a beloved grandfather.
